Recovery Operators Wanted for Contract Work

VehicleMove is bidding for police and local authority vehicle recovery contracts across the UK. These are the contracts that pay a set fee for every vehicle recovered, stored and disposed, and they need operators who already hold the compliance. We run the contract and the call handling, and we route the recoveries to a network of accredited operators. If you already run a PAS43-accredited recovery business with a secure compound, register below and we will talk you through the work and the rates.

How it works

Handing over vehicle keys after a completed delivery
Step 4

Keys handed over

The vehicle arrives at your address. Pay on delivery, or ask for an invoice.

PAS43 Accreditation

You hold PAS43, the industry standard for safe roadside recovery that police and council contracts demand. Tick the box below so we know you qualify.

We Win the Contracts

We do the tendering, the call handling and the invoicing. You get the recoveries passed to you, without having to bid for the contract yourself.

Secure Storage Compound

Recovered and impounded vehicles have to be held in a secure compound. If you have your own yard, you earn the storage fee on top of the recovery fee.

DBS and Insurance

The contracts ask for DBS-vetted staff and £5 million public liability. If you already hold both, you are exactly who we are looking for.

Paid Per Vehicle

Every recovery is priced and agreed before you take it. You are paid per vehicle recovered, plus storage where you hold it.

UK-Wide Coverage

We need operators across England, Scotland and Wales. Tell us the areas you cover and we will match you to the contract work nearby.

Frequently Asked Questions

What compliance do I need?

PAS43 accreditation, £5 million public liability insurance, DBS-vetted staff, and a secure storage compound. Tick the boxes on the form below and we will ask for proof before any work comes your way.

Do I need my own compound?

Yes. Recovered and impounded vehicles have to be held somewhere secure, so your own yard or compound is a requirement for the contract work.

Which contracts are these?

Police vehicle recovery schemes and council abandoned vehicle removal contracts. We are bidding on them now and need a roster of accredited operators to route the work to.

How do I get paid?

Per vehicle recovered, at a rate agreed before you take the job. Storage fees are paid on top where you hold the vehicle in your compound.

Is it exclusive?

No. You keep running your own business and take the contract recoveries as and when they come through. The more areas you cover, the more work we can pass you.

How do I apply?

Fill in the form below and tick the compliance you hold. We will contact you to verify your PAS43, insurance and DBS, then add you to the contract network.
