Non-Runner Vehicle Collection
Bought a car that will not start, or need a write-off moved? VehicleMove collects non-runners across the UK. For cars that can be winched onto a transporter we bring the kit to do it; for anything that needs a flatbed we will be straight with you up front and can put you in touch with a recovery operator. Tell us what is wrong with it and where it is, and we will sort the rest and email you a fixed price before we set off.
Won't Start, No Problem
Flat battery, seized engine, no MOT, accident damage. If it will not run, we collect it with the right kit.
Cat N & Cat S Write-Offs
Insurance write-offs are a regular job. We collect them from auction sites, salvage yards or your driveway and deliver them where they need to go.
Winching Handled
For cars that roll but will not run, we winch them onto a transporter. No dragging, no damage to the bodywork.
Flatbed When Needed
If a flatbed is genuinely required, we will tell you up front and arrange a recovery operator rather than risk damaging the car.
Auction & Salvage Sites
Copart, Synetiq and salvage auctions are familiar territory. We know the release procedures and collection windows.
UK-Wide Delivery
From the collection point to your home, garage or bodyshop anywhere in mainland UK.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is a non-runner?
Any vehicle that cannot be driven under its own power, whether from a flat battery, a seized engine, an accident or a lack of MOT. We collect it with a winch or arrange a flatbed if needed.
Do you collect Cat N and Cat S write-offs?
Yes. Insurance categorised write-offs are a regular job for us, especially from Copart and Synetiq. We know the release procedures and collection windows.
Do you use a winch or a flatbed?
For cars that roll but will not run, we winch them onto a transporter. If the car genuinely needs a flatbed, we will tell you up front and arrange a recovery operator.
What do I need to tell you when I book?
Where the car is, where it needs to go, and what is wrong with it. That tells us whether we need the winch or a flatbed, and lets us email you a fixed price.
Is a non-runner more expensive to collect?
A non-runner needs winching or a flatbed, which adds a small amount compared to a drivable car. The price is emailed to you before we set off, so there are no surprises.
How quickly can you collect a non-runner?
Usually within a few days. For auction stock we collect inside the auction's collection window so you do not pay storage charges.
