Vehicle Transport to Oulton Park Circuit

Oulton Park hides one of the country's trickiest laps behind a line of trees in the Cheshire countryside, just outside Little Budworth and a short hop from Chester and Tarporley. The lap opens with Old Hall, a flat-out right-hander that drops away from you, then Cascades throws the car left and right in the space of a breath. Get the line through Island bend or the double-apex Druids wrong and you're on the grass, which is why so many of the drivers we move want the car delivered exactly as it came off the setup stands at home. We run race cars, track-day cars and race bikes from Devon and the South West up to the paddock, with one of us behind the wheel of your vehicle, making my own way back. The bulk of the trip is motorway, up the M5 and across the A49 near Tarporley, but the last few miles tighten into lanes where a low splitter on a trailer needs a patient driver and a bit of local knowledge. Oulton's a tree-lined, old-school parkland circuit, not a windswept airfield, so the paddock feels cramped and getting in early matters more than at a place like Snetterton. It hosts the BTCC and British Superbikes, and the Gold Cup historic meeting fills it every August, by which point the paddock is a wall of awnings and transporters. We'll get your car there, hand it over at the gate or drop it in your awning spot if you've arranged one, and leave the keys exactly where you tell us. If the car lives in a workshop or lock-up rather than on a drive, that's no bother either; we'll collect it from wherever it's parked and bring it up with the keys and any spares you've boxed for us.

Non-road-legal race cars

Plenty of the cars that run at Oulton have never seen an MOT. No tax, no plates, no problem for us. We collect them on a trailer or, where the car is road-legal, drive them up on trade plates. Whichever way it goes, the car arrives in the Cheshire paddock with the setup you dialled in at home still exactly as you left it, untouched between collection and handover.

Race bikes moved flat and steady

Race bikes are light but they're not forgiving if they shift in transit. We load each one into the support vehicle, chocked at the wheels and strapped through the frame so nothing touches the bodywork, then drive it up to Oulton ourselves. Your bike stays with the same person from collection to paddock, and we wheel it straight into your garage so you're not manhandling it across a gravel car park.

Multi-car team moves for race weekends

Running two or three cars at a BTCC or British Superbikes support meeting? We can move the lot in one go. One of us drives each car and the support vehicle follows, so the whole team arrives together rather than in dribs and drabs. It saves you juggling drivers, fuel runs and a hire car when the paddock at Oulton is already busy and every minute on setup counts.

Paddock-to-paddock delivery

We don't leave your car in a car park and text you the bay number. We take it into the paddock at Oulton and, where you've booked a garage or awning, we put it where your crew expect it. If you've arranged sign-on paperwork we'll hand the car over to the organisers for you, so you can arrive when it suits rather than when the car does.

Non-runners winched and hauled

A car that won't fire is still a car we can move. We winch non-runners onto the trailer and strap them down with the wheels chocked, then haul them to Oulton for a rebuild in the paddock or a spare chassis your team needs under the awning. You don't need it to start, steer or hold charge for us to get it there, as long as we can get a line on it.

Timed around the Gold Cup

The August Gold Cup meeting packs Oulton with historic machinery and the paddock fills early, so we plan the run so your car lands before the transporter rush on Thursday rather than in the middle of it. Tell us the scrutineering or garage time you need to hit and we'll work backwards from that, allowing a bit of slack for the lanes.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does it cost to get a car from Devon to Oulton Park?

We price by the distance from your collection point to the circuit, plus a collection fee, and we quote the full figure before you commit so there's nothing ticking up on the clock. The run from Exeter up to Cheshire is roughly 230 miles, and we'll confirm the exact number when you book. I make my own way back after every move, and that return leg is already in the price rather than an add-on.

Can you move a race car with no MOT or tax?

Yes. Non-road-legal cars go on a trailer or, where they can legally be driven on trade plates, one of us drives them up. We don't need an MOT or tax to move a car that's going straight into the paddock and will only ever run on circuit. Tell us what the car is and where it's parked and we'll work out the best way to get it there.

How does the driver get back after delivering my car?

I make my own way back after every delivery, so I'm not stranded in the Cheshire paddock or waiting on a train home. It also means there's a spare pair of hands to help unload and a vehicle to run errands in while the crew sets up. You pay for one trip, and the return leg of our own driver is our problem, not yours. That return run also gives you a cheap way to get small spares or paperwork back down the country the same week.

Do you move race bikes to Oulton Park?

We do. Bikes travel inside the support vehicle, strapped through the frame and chocked so they don't move or get scratched on the way up from the South West. We unload them in the paddock and wheel them to your garage. If you're running at a BSB round or a club meeting, tell us your arrival slot and we'll time the trip so the bike lands when you do.

Will you deliver straight into the paddock?

Yes, and that's the point of using us rather than a courier who drops at the gate. We drive or trailer your car into the paddock and put it in your garage or awning spot where you've booked one. If you've arranged sign-on, we can hand the car over to the organisers and leave the keys with them, so nothing waits on you being there in person.

How early should I book for a Gold Cup or BTCC weekend?

Earlier than you think. The Gold Cup in August and the BTCC rounds fill Oulton's paddock well before race week, and transport slots go the same way. Booking a couple of weeks out usually gets you the arrival time you want; leaving it to the week before means you'll take what's left. Tell us your scrutineering time and we'll schedule the run backwards from it.
