Vehicle Transport in Shropshire
Shropshire is England's forgotten county — rural, sparsely populated, and tucked between the West Midlands and Wales. The M54 from the M6 gets us to Telford, but beyond that it's A-roads and country lanes to Shrewsbury, Ludlow, and the Welsh border. At 180 miles from Devon, it's a full day's run — but the countryside is glorious and the roads, while slow, are never frustrating. We know Shropshire's quirks: the Ironbridge Gorge, the Long Mynd, the meres and mosses of the north.
M54 Gateway
The M54 from the M6 is our main route into Shropshire. It ends at Wellington, just outside Telford. From there, the A5 takes us to Shrewsbury and Oswestry.
Shrewsbury Town Access
Shrewsbury sits in a loop of the River Severn — a medieval town with a one-way system designed centuries before cars. We know which bridges to use and where to park for a handover.
Telford New Town
Telford's 1960s new town layout with its grid of roundabouts and dual carriageways is confusing if you don't know it. We do. Collections from Telford's residential and industrial areas are regular for us.
Ludlow & The South
Ludlow — foodie capital of the Marches — and the A49 corridor south. Beautiful, rural, and slower going than the motorway network. We allow extra time and price accordingly.
Welsh Border Areas
Oswestry, the Shropshire Hills AONB, the area around Clun and Bishop's Castle — genuinely remote and beautiful. Some of the most scenic collections we do.
Long Mynd & Hill Country
The Long Mynd, Stiperstones, and Wenlock Edge mean Shropshire has proper hills. Winter collections in these areas need planning — we monitor conditions and reschedule if needed.
